It's the interview of Dominique Jennings .

1) Have you enjoyed playing the role of Virginia ? Was it easy ?

I did enjoy playing Virginia. It was a bit hard to be so mean to Vanessa though.

2) Did you got automatically the role of Virginia or have you had the choice between several roles ?

I did automatically get the role of Virginia. The character was originally only supposed to be on for ten episodes.

3) Does playing the role of Virginia had made you paranoid ?

Actually, being paranoid never entered my mind.

4) Playing a character as eccentric and maniac as her had to be great, do you think that the writers went too far in that direction ?

I think the writer's really pushed the limits with the "turkey baster"! It was then voted wackiest storyline ever... they succeeded in making it memorable.

5) Is it there something you like in Virginia ?

I like the fact that she prides herself in being a good mother. That is always her intention, even if it may not appear so. And she certainly does not lack passion!

6) What plan of Virginia do you prefer (Martin’s syndrome, “operation insemination”, another one) ?

I had fun with "Martin's Syndrome". I found myself looking forward to playing Selita complete with fat suit and red wig.

7) Is there something that you don't like in the character in Virginia? Which one ?

Her neediness and desperation could be exhausting. But I understood where it all came from and did not judge her for it.

8 ) With whom would you have seen Virginia ?

I did not see her with any existing character on the show. I felt she needed time to discover her worth.

9) What do you think about what happens to Virginia at the end of the show ?

I thought what happened to Virgina was sad. I hope it evoked some empathy.

10) There were never other men in the life of Virginia on Sunset Beach... Did you have regrets about that ?

I used to joke about that but in reality I would have liked her to have more of a love life. A past one maybe? Her husband?

11) Who do you think Virginia could have really dated ?

A rugged firefighter who knows how to handle her and was great with kids!

12) What are your best memories of the show ?

"Terror Island" and "Shockwave" were fun and intense. I used to love to drive to Seal Beach to film. The ocean air was so exhilarating.

13) Did you watch the show ?

I did. My father would tape it and also connect my story lines together commercial free.

14) What were your favorite characters in Sunset Beach ?

I loved Annie and Aunte Bette was hilarious. I really enjoyed everyone though.

15) What other character would you have liked playing ?

Well I auditioned for Vanessa a few months prior. So naturally, I would lean towards her. But Sherri Saum was simply perfect as Vanessa.

16) Why do you not stay till the end of the show ?

I was told that the writer's ran out of ideas for Virginia. And supposedly wanted to leave open a possible return for her.

17) Is it true that you have your contract extended for several weeks to complete the history of Virginia ?

No that's not true.

18) Are the producers have contacted you for a return before the end of Sunset Beach ?

The producer's did not contact me regarding returning. I heard some possibilities but nothing in stone.

19) Would you have continued the series if there was a season 4 ?

If it were my decision I would have continued. She was a daring character and sometimes their lifespans are shorter than others.

20) Do you have any anecdotes to tell us about the shooting ?I remember going without refined sugar for about 3 months. Until one day when my weakness appeared on set. Wedding cake! I was in such a trance pigging out, that I did not realize the camera's caught me. Everyone in the make-up room was in hysterics. We were not rolling thankfully!

21) With which actor did you have the greatest affinity ?

Jason and I were always singing and dancing between takes. He was like the brother I never had.

22) Do you still have contacts with actors of the show? If so which ones ?

Sherri Saum, myself and another NBC friend went to Vegas last year. We get together with Jason when she comes to town,

23) Do there were evenings with all actors of the show ?

There were NBC parties, charity events and private parties where we all got to have fun together.

24) Do there were moments of tension on set with actors ?

When I first joined the cast. there was a veteran actress who did things a certain way. A bit of tension, bu it all passed. She did not end up staying very long on the show.

25) We often hear about bad moods on the set, especially when the pace of filming is sustained and long-term, was it the same on Sunset Beach ?

There may have been a guest star who overslept and then was replaced... but for the most part the long hours were challenging in a productive way. We sometimes did more than one show a day.

26) Do you think there will be a reunion in memory of Sunset Beach ?

I'm not sûre if there will be a reunion but it sounds like a cool idea.

27) Do you ever regret the show ?

I don't regret the show at all. It was one of the best jobs I ever had!

28) Now do you have any plans ?

I am still currently a voice-over artist as I was when I worked on SB. I also help produce and appear on a You Tube webseries called "The Playmaker". And I am also working on an art retrospective honoring my father "Prophet".

29) Could you play in a serie such as Sunset Beach even now? (on daily basis)

I could play in a series such as SB on a daily basis. I do believe everything has it's time and place.

30) If you had to start again, could you do the same thing ?

If I had to start again... I would work with the opportunities that availed themselves to me. If that included Sunset Beach and it felt right, then that's were I would be!

31) We see the tv shows Beverly Hills, Melrose Place back on our screens, if Sunset Beach was back, would you be in the cast ?

If it were up to me; I would. I think Virginia spiced it up!

32) Do you know if there were plans to bring back Virginia later in the show, if it hadn't been cancelled ?

I heard that there were plans... but in the end it wasn't meant to be.

33) If there were a sequel of Sunset Beach, does the title could be "Sunset Beach 10 years later" ?

Do you have a script!!! Sounds like a cool idea...

34) What is your favorite current tv show ?

I like "Rescue Me", "Dexter", "Damages", "America's Next Top Model" and "Entourage".

35) Would you accept that we do a website on you ?

Oh Cendrine, that is so flattering! I don't know what it entails on my end. Maybe you could explain it further and I can think about it. I appreciate your interest very much.
